Eileen Merriman

Eileen Merriman is an award-winning short story and flash fiction writer from New Zealand.

Her young adult novel, Pieces of You, was published in May 2017 (Penguin Random House); the manuscript was awarded a mentorship by the New Zealand Society of Authors in 2015. A second YA novel, Catch Me When You Fallis due for publication on Jan 2nd, 2018.

Her awards include first place in the 2015 Graeme Lay Short Story competition, second place in the 2015 Bath Flash Fiction Award, commended in the 2015 Bath Short Story competition, and third place for three years running in the 2014-2016 Sunday Star Times Competitions.

Eileen completed a 30 week Fiction Writing Course through Creative Hub in 2013.

  1. I just finished Pieces Of You… WOW such a moving book. I was feeling every emotion that the characters were, it was amazing. The book was incredible and I would recommend it to anyone!

  2. I finished pieces of you – such a good book I honestly deeply love the characters. Why did Cory have to die? I guess all good things have to come to an end. I’m dying to read you next book, it’s too long.
