On Friday I learned that I had been awarded second place  in the 2018 Sunday Star Times Short Story Competition. Congratulations to the first place winner, Fiona Sussman, and third place winner, Kathryn van Beek. My story, ‘The Singularity of Sleep’, will be published in the Sunday Star Times in January.

Very excited that Pieces of You has been included in the 2018 Storylines Notable Books List: 2018 Storylines Notable Books List. I’m looking forward to attending the awards ceremony at the Margaret Many Day on April 8th.

I’m in conversation with fellow YA authors, Alex Wheatle (UK) and Erin Donohue (NZ) at the Auckland Writers Festival on Fri 18 May – see you there!
